For over 60 years Gigs has been serving traditional British fish n' chips in the heart of London!!! We have kept the original menu with just a few tweaks.

Gigs was opened in 1958 by a Cypriot emigre called Gyriaokos('Gigs' to his friends). During this time he had the idea of introducing fish and chips to complement the traditional Greek Cypriot cuisine. It was probably the first time it had ever been done and it worked! In 2006, myself(Aristos) and Christos took over the restaurant. We also renovated the premises to bring them in the 21st century.

"I ate at Gigs while staying in London for work. My workmates and I had a great meal. My friends went for fish and chips, I went for one of the chicken kababs. The food was very good and tasty, and was reasonably priced. The staff were very good, polite and helpful. I would eat here again if I get the opportunity."

"Visiting from Cambridge and stumbled across Gigs restaurant, where we were greeted with a smile. I had souvlaki and my friend had fish and chips. Both were delicious, and the service was faultless. A very pleasant afternoon on a sunny March day!"

"Unplanned visit as my French colleague just fancied some fish & chips as he usually does when in the UK - but what a great find. The food was superb - his fish & chips & my grilled tuna - and the service was great : prompt & personal & with our waitress also conversing with my colleague in French which was really appreciated - thanks Daniella, a huge asset for & credit to the restaurant."
