After 13 incredible years, we've made the difficult decision to close the doors of Prawn on the Lawn London. Our final service will take place on 10th July.

What started as a small fishmonger serving cured fish and seasonal small plates in 2013 grew into something we could never have imagined. London was our very first restaurant and the launch pad for everything that followed. Along the way we've opened three more restaurants in Padstow, survived a global pandemic, raised three children, and been lucky enough to meet countless guests, suppliers and team members who have shaped this journey with us.

While it's never easy to say goodbye, this feels more like a celebration than an ending. We're immensely proud of what Prawn on the Lawn London became and incredibly grateful to everyone who has dined with us, worked with us, supported us, and helped make it such a special place over the years.

We also want to say an enormous thank you to Daniela and Patrizia, the dream team who have been the beating heart of Prawn on the Lawn London for so many years. Since joining us almost from the very beginning, they've poured their talent, care and energy into the restaurant every single day, leading the team with love, dedication and passion. Quite simply, we couldn't have done it without them.

We'll now be focusing our attention on our restaurants in Padstow — Prawn on the Lawn, Little Prawn and Barnaby’s Restaurant Padstow — while looking ahead to whatever comes next.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for thirteen unforgettable years, Islington.

We were lucky enough to get this insane gilt-head bream in from George Cleave in the restaurant towards the end of last week.

Served as a crudo, with a super fresh dressing made from cucumbers from Rick Toogood’s garden, dill and salmon caviar.

Favourite dish to order from the menu?
Any ceviche or monkfish with XO butter and pickled carrots.

Deep-fried oysters or raw?
Deep fried. Every time.

Fave drink?
Always a cold lager 🍺

Ingredient you’re obsessed with at the moment?
