Anyone lucky to have in their world will know how well deserved (and IMO overdue) his MBE in the King’s Birthday Honour is..
Andreas has kick-started many successful careers and was the catalyst to becoming a respected team on the world stage. He did this by paying the salary for to allow him the time needed to focus on the challenge ahead. During this time Andreas was diagnosed with two types of cancer. Despite this, he still made it out to see Adam and secure the best ever result for Team UK.
Andreas is warm, generous and has a natural ability to make you feel welcome. To me, he embodies the meaning of ‘Philoxenia’. His recognition comes at a time when even the most successful British hospitality businesses are struggling to stay afloat. He has added his voice to those calling for change.
On a personal level, Andreas has given me advice and support these past months, helping me face my own health issues with positivity and confidence. He is a very special person and I am so bloody pleased that he finally has his MBE.
