Summer weekdays with a toddler don’t need much. Just a few small things, at the right moment.
Somewhere safe for them to properly run around. Coffee that shows up when you actually need it. A few minutes to chat with another parent while your little one makes a new friend. And a space where nobody minds if things go a bit wobbly for ten minutes.
That’s what we’ve built at Apple Tree. Safe, entertaining soft play, a proper café, and a community that feels like one from the moment you walk in.

If a birthday’s on the horizon this autumn, it’s worth getting the date sorted now. Soft play, a private space, and food for kids and adults, all in one booking.

Book by 31 August and we’ll throw in a complimentary adult sandwich platter, on us.

September spaces are going quickest, but October and November dates are filling up too. If you’ve got a date in mind, get in touch soon.

End of June and we are feeling grateful. Running a small play café for under 5s through the summer season is its own kind of adventure. Every time one of you walks through the door, recommends us to a friend or books a session, it genuinely means everything. Apple Tree was built for this community and this community keeps us going. Summer mornings at Apple Tree are made for this.
Soft play, good coffee and no particular rush to be anywhere else ❤️

Ninety minutes of soft play gives them enough time to climb everything, make a new best friend and come back slightly pink-cheeked and very pleased with themselves.

A proper barista coffee while the kids explore, climb and make friends. You might even get to drink it while it’s still hot.

It’s set to be a scorcher this week. Blinds down, fans on, we’re keeping things as cool as we can. Come let the kids run around somewhere shaded for a change. Half price play, all week, plus a free scoop of ice cream for every child who visits. Two sessions a day, 9 to 10.30 and 11 to 12.30, at both Herne Hill and Peckham Rye. Something new is coming to Apple Tree this summer.
Two in-house clubs, designed and led by Emily. Before opening Apple Tree, Emily spent years as a Primary School and Early Years specialist teacher, and these sessions reflect that. Every activity is purposeful, play-based, and built around how young children actually learn.
Apple Tree Messy Play Club

Peckham Rye, Tuesdays 9.00am–10.30am
0–5 years
Forty-five minutes of themed sensory and messy play, then forty-five minutes of free café play. Themes change every week: Under the Sea, Dinosaurs, Farmyard Fun, Space Adventure and more.
Story & Craft Club

Herne Hill, Thursdays 9.00am–10.30am
2–5 years
A session built around a children’s book. A simple craft linked to the story. Then time to play.

Trial sessions this July:
1st and 8th July at Peckham Rye
2nd and 9th July at Herne Hill

£15 per child. £12.50 for siblings. Message or email to book a sibling place. Block bookings open for September. Six-week blocks from £84. Book by 31st July for the early bird rate.

Father’s Day is 21 June and we are marking it all week.
This week dads get a coffee and cake for themselves and their little one for £8, then sit back and watch them play. Warm, relaxed and no agenda other than a good time together.
We are open Monday to Saturday, with morning sessions at 9.00am and 11.00am. Booking recommended: link in bio.
