At The Conquering Hero we have a mission to serve great, affordable pub food in a friendly, relaxed environment. Our offer is straightforward, a fantastic pint and a superb meal cooked on the premises using fresh, seasonal and whenever possible local ingredients, but at a reasonable price. Our motivation is simple, The Conquering Hero is a pub not a restaurant, you won’t find a burger on the mean

side of a tenner in here (though ours are all hand made and very tasty) and we serve mussels & chips not moules & pommes frites! The Conquering Hero has been a pub since the mid 1800’s and we’d like it to stay that way. There will be music, pool, sport and characters you could write a novel about. Enjoy Beulah Pond, Streatham Common & The Rookery all on our doorstep and then pop in for the craic!

we want you to join us in our sunny beer garden today and enjoy this glorious weather! Our kitchen is open until 9pm and serving a menu of specially selected favourites to allow our kitchen team to stay safe in these very high temperatures...don't worry there are lots of tasty treats to choose from including a CAJUN CRAWFISH SANDWICHES, NACHOS, BEER BRATS, CHURCHILL BURGERS, BOAT TRASH, JERK CHICKEN AND COCONUT RICE BOWLS!
Passing by and need a hydration break (that's a thing these day's)...pop in we are happy to give you water and as always we have plenty of dog bowls and treats for hounds on their evening walks!
