How to write an instagram caption for a pub.
Very lovely pair who visited our pub the other day.
When I’m doing these captions, I try to tell myself not to take it to seriously. Not to worry. That what I am doing is simply being an honest messenger.
I tell myself...
What I’m trying to achieve is “access”.
Access to understanding.
Understanding what this pub feels and looks like.
If you can at a glance at this photo, or the one before it.
If you scan one of our event tiles, or flick through a carousel.
And you go
“That pub looks rather nice”
or
“Oh I remember that night, we should go back”
or
“Loads of cool people work there and all the customers look really sick and the beers look unique and yummy and interesting therefore I’ve just now decided I’m going to go there every week for the rest of my life”
Then, I’ve done my job.
Whatever that job is.
Letters and words I guess.
