We’re 3 years (+ 6 days) old 🤍

Three years of taking a chance on an empty building and hoping people would walk through the doors.

Since then, we’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, reunions, promotions, “just because” dinners, and everything in between. We’ve met so many incredible people who have become regulars, friends and part of the KOKUM story.

3 years 🤍🥂✨

Three years ago, we unlocked the doors to KOKUM with no idea where the journey would take us. Since then we’ve welcomed thousands of you through our doors for date nights, birthdays, anniversaries, Sunday roasts, BBQs, cookery classes, cocktails that turned into “just one more”, and memories we’ll never forget.

There have been long days, late nights, burnt naan, broken glasses, endless WhatsApp messages and plenty of moments where we questioned our sanity… but we’d do it all again.

What makes KOKUM special has never just been the food. It’s the people. Seeing familiar faces week after week, celebrating your milestones with you, and watching our little neighbourhood restaurant become part of the East Dulwich community means more than any review or award ever could.

To everyone who’s booked a table, recommended us, left a review, shared a post, brought a friend or simply kept coming back… thank you. You are the reason we’ve made it to year three.

And to everyone who’s supported my journey through , thank you for following the chaos behind the scenes too. What you see online is only a tiny fraction of what goes into building a restaurant, and I’m so grateful you’ve chosen to be part of it.

Here’s to celebrating all weekend, making even more memories, and seeing what the next chapter brings.
