Perky Blenders Coffee Roasters At Perky Blenders, we like to think of ourselves as one big family. It’s still us here. Hello. When all this is over, we’d love you to drop by for a visit.

That’s because family is in the very foundations of our business: we were family-formed back in 2015 by brothers Tom and Adam Cozens, along with Adam’s wife, Victoria. And even back then, operating as a humble little coffee cart outside St James’ Street station, we had the same aims as we do now: to be responsible, friendly and accessible to all. And though we’ve since stretched our latte-fuelled

legs beyond that converted three-wheeled Piaggio Ape, we’re the same coffee up-and-comers waxing lyrical about single origin beans to the good people of Waltham Forest. A few years on, we now have four shops within the borough, and we supply our coffee to over 50 stores – including Wholefoods, the award-winning Eat17 Spar shops and big chill. In the last few years, we’ve been featured in the Indy Best’s ‘Best Coffee Subscription Services,’ and have recently won two Time Out Awards as the ‘Best Coffee Place’ within three London Postcodes. And we’ve opened our second roastery, with a state-of-the-art 20kg Petrocini Specialty Roaster that we’re pretty proud of, and plenty more space to swing cats/coffee sacks. These are strange times, but one bonus is that we’re meeting lots of friendly new (virtual) faces via the subscription side of our business. Coffee can sometimes be a secretive, snobbish industry – but we want to change that perception. So whether you’re a V60 veteran or you’re just taking your first baby(chino) steps in learning how to brew, you’re welcome in the Perky family. This is a new version of Friday you have to try.

I started at Perky with a locally roasted coffee, took the scenic route through Walthamstow, and found my way to somewhere that instantly slowed everything down.
sauna , newly opened on Shernhall Street, already feels like it’s always belonged. Step inside, and something in you simply exhales.

The heat wraps around you - No phone, no thoughts, just stillness. An hour that belongs entirely to you.

A stop by on the way back to pick up a few things for the weekend.

And then the frappe. The refresher after the most perfect E17 day.

You don’t always need to go far to feel like you’ve been somewhere. Sometimes it’s just this, your neighbourhood. A really good Friday!

This honey-processed coffee comes from Finca La Valentina in the Montecillos region of Honduras, where producer Carlos Ernestor Mejia and his family have been growing coffee for generations.

In the cup you'll find notes of coconut, cocoa nibs and honeydew melon.

Wow... it was already a week ago that, in the middle of the heatwave, we were loading up the van at the roastery ready to cross the Channel.

And just like that, here’s the final instalment of our World of Coffee vlog – featuring Ad Cam and Calum Cam. We think they did a pretty good job! 🎥☕

For us, the coffee industry has always been about so much more than coffee. It’s about friendship, community and the people behind every cup.

We feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing network of friends, and opportunities like World of Coffee are a reminder of just how special this industry really is.

Every bag of coffee you buy and every flat white (or matcha!) you drink helps make moments like these possible. It supports the relationships we’ve built, the knowledge we continue to share, and our commitment to always bringing you the very best coffee we can.

☕️ Coffee of the Month: Purple Rain

This month we're heading to the Dipilto mountain range in northern Nicaragua, where coffee producer Donald Efrain Roque is carrying on a family tradition that's three generations strong.

Following in the footsteps of both his father and grandfather, he's spent years refining his craft and, over the last five years, working alongside our import partners at , has fully embraced the world of specialty coffee.

In the cup, this washed Nicaraguan is bursting with juicy notes of plum, prune and nectarine, balanced by a sugarcane sweetness and a delicate floral finish reminiscent of white rose petals.

It's bright. It's elegant. It's packed with purple fruit character.

And yes... all those plum notes might just have you humming a certain Prince song while you brew. 💜
