👏🏼 Congratulations to our junior member Beth Cuthbert who was crowned champion at the Connaught U18 Girls Amateur Open Championship at Galway.

🏆 Beth shot a superb 2 over par over the 54 holes to take the win.

🙌🏻 Well done Beth, we are incredibly proud of your achievement.

We had 54 juniors enjoy the sunshine this morning to play in our weekly competition. Well done to all the winners and some handicap cuts again.

We're delighted to be hosting our Junior Open on Thursday 6️⃣August 2026 at Lurgan Golf Club.

🧑🏼👩‍🦰 Open to boys and girls under 18 years with a Golf Ireland or official club handicap, the event will feature both an 18-hole and 9-hole competition.

💰 Cost to enter:
Members: £5 (£3 9-holes)
Visitors: £10 (£5 9-holes)

⛳️ Team news…..

👏🏼 Congratulations to our Junior Peter O’Hara team who had a victorious 3.5 – 2.5 win over Tandragee on Friday night and now progress to the quarter-final stages of the competition.

😔 Unfortunately it was the end of the road for a few teams…..

👦🏼 The Junior Boys Foursomes team had a tough qualifying round at Holywood and couldn’t get enough points to take one of the top two qualifying spots on the day.

👧🏼 The Ladies’ Senior Cup team were defeated by a strong Knock side in Saturday’s semi-final. Congratulations to the ladies for making it this far in the competition.

👨🏻 The Men’s Belfast & District Cup team were up against Cairndhu on Sunday but lost by the narrowest of margins with the game going to the last putt on the 18th hole in the final match.

🙌🏻 A huge thank you to all those who represented the club and a big thanks for all the supporters who came out to cheer them on.

👏🏼 Congratulations to the winners of this week's club competitions and open.

Our competitions are kindly sponsored this year by local fresh prepared food manufacturer Avondale Foods

🥕 Avondale Foods started as a small vegetable-growing family farm by the Geddis family and now supplies to major supermarket giants including Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Tesco & Sainsbury's.

🎉 Congratulations to three of our outstanding junior members on their fantastic performances at the recent Leinster U18 Boys' & U18 Girls' Amateur Open Championships! 👏⛳

A huge well done to:
🏌️ Evan Pepper, who finished an impressive 12th out of 131 competitors
🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♀️ Beth Cuthbert, who achieved a fantastic 4th place finish and Ella-Louise McCorry, who finished tied 13th out of 72 competitors.

These are superb achievements against strong competition, and we are incredibly proud of all three for representing the club so well. Keep up the great work! 💙💛
