Local Egg Farmer Needs His Community Please
He just wants to live and work on his land and reopen his business, which will create jobs for the community.
We're asking you for help with a local egg farmer who truly needs it. This is a community project, and we need investment to help him get back on his feet. After suffering a stroke and spending six months in the hospital, he’s now 82 years old and an incredible person. Unfortunately, he has no family to support him, but a dear friend of mine is stepping in to help.
This is a significant project. We need to make his static caravan suitable for living so he can move out of the shed and have carers come to assist him. While we're seeking help from the council and the Government Farming Body, that process will take weeks, and we urgently need funds to get the farm operational again.
Investors can get their money back in cash or produce, or even consider using some agricultural land for growing wildflowers, keeping livestock, or running a business in line with farming. The opportunities are there!
So far, we’ve spent £500 and raised £155, but we need a lot more. We’ve already fixed two tractors, secured a generator, repaired the water supply, and the static caravan is coming along. The most expensive part is clearing the land, but once that's done, we can get his egg-laying chickens back.
