🌿 We’re Hiring – Seasonal Café Staff! 🫖

West Highland Tea Company is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Front of House Café Assistant (Tea-rista) to join our Tea Studio team in Mallaig on a seasonal, temporary basis.

The role includes welcoming customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, handling payments and helping to keep the café clean, tidy and welcoming.

Previous café, hospitality or retail experience is helpful, but not essential, as training will be provided. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, although some weekend availability may be required.

Do you know what hojicha is? 🍵

During our trip to Uji, Japan, we discovered exactly how this roasted Japanese green tea is made — slowly roasting, sifting, and watching the leaves transform into something warm, nutty, and deeply aromatic.

Making our own gave us a whole new appreciation for every cup… and of course, we had to take some home.

Learning what really makes matcha so special 🍵
From slowly grinding tencha into matcha with a traditional stone mill to whisking our own bowl, this workshop gave us a whole new appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every cup.
And yes... the matcha ice cream tasted even better with the matcha we’d ground ourselves.
