You may have heard word on the street, you might not have believed your ears… Things are constantly changing here in NQ, over the past 13 years it’s been our pleasure to be a part of it all. After some tough decisions and some careful considerations, it seems that the right thing to do is to end our journey here. No time for frowns however, you still have a weeks worth of sun to come and enjoy a brew before we close our door for the final time this Sunday 18th June 2023.

Served 10-5 daily.

Avocado, sauteed spinach, fresh tomatoes and a crispy tofu patty on a toasted bagel, best enjoyed with one of our fresh pressed juices or your favourite oat coffee ☕

Feeling the (slightly) warmer weather ☀️

A new addition to our golden sourdough toast Fresh whipped ricotta is light and airy whilst offering notes of sweet honey and zesty lemon, topped with sauteed Mediterranean tomatoes that burst with deep flavour and fresh aromatic basil. All finished off with a balsamic glaze to round off the taste buds.

L-R red wine vinegar, damson & iow chilli sauce, damson vinegar, mother kimchi, white wine vinegar, dehydrated sourdough breadcrumbs, some mincemeat aging for mince pies. The red wine vinegar mother is from around 2019 when I decided I never wanted to buy vinegar again. It was started from a bottle of the natural wines we used to have sitting around in NTP. I enjoy extreme frugality and I still have a bit of that original bottle left.

It ends up here. A lot of the time, a flat white is what you ask for, dairy or dairy-free. This, to us, is similar in size to a traditional cappuccino 5-6 ounces in total, however, the milk is not textured quite as thick - we’d say more wet. Like a smaller but stronger tasting latte. It’s important, particularly in a smaller drink, not to steam too hot, as higher temperatures can ruin the silky texture and bring out uncomplimentary flavours in the milk. That’s our interpretation anyway. Others may vary.

It starts here. Actually, a little before, when our roasters send us an amazing coffee they’ve sourced and roasted. It’s then up to us to work on a recipe for our environment, equipment & water quality that delivers on the promise that particular coffee displayed at the cupping table, or the flavour points passed on to us
