Congratulations to ‘Mr Bowdon’ our very own Bill Ball on his North West Hockey Lifetime Achievement Award. Bill first served on the hockey committee in the early 1960s and still plays an active role today – some 60 years later! In between times he served as Chairman, Club President & 1st team manager as well as playing an active role in Cheshire and North Hockey. Bill has dedicated much of his life to hockey at Bowdon and in the North of England and this recognition is richly deserved. As the North West winner Bill now goes forward as a nominee for the England Hockey Lifetime Achievement Award – to be presented on 6th June at the EH Awards evening.
