“Why is it cheaper if I order direct?”

We’re glad you asked..!!

The same meal is £6.05 when you order direct and £10.45 on Just Eat and Uber Eats..!!

Before anyone thinks we’re off on holiday with the extra £4.40… we promise we are not!

Just Eat takes 33% commission, plus VAT.

On a £10.45 order, that’s around £4.14 gone before we’ve even bought the fish, peeled the potatoes or switched the fryers on.

That leaves us with… a mighty 26p more than if you’d ordered direct..!!

We also have to allow for refunds, disputes and the extra costs that come with third-party apps.

So if you ever fancy helping your favourite local chippy instead of the bigger fish, give us a ring or pop in and order direct or order in the website 🙏🏻

Your fish tastes exactly the same… it just feeds us instead of the commission!

We’re going to recommend booking deliveries early today as we’re expecting to be busy.

I’ve noticed a good few take Aways are closing completely… so eat before the match or it could be beans on toast..😬😬
