THE FREE ONE ✨

Yes that’s right, free coffeeeeeeeee.

This plain bag contains all the roast samples we take each week, a mega mix of THIS ONE and THAT ONE.

We’ve use some to help clean our grinders but not wanting to have any waste we’ve bagged up what’s left.

Usually available Thursday afternoon (the hatch is open til 1pm) once we’ve finished our last cuppings of the week.

It’s first come first serve so just ask the lovely Lexi if The Free One is about and if so, it’s yours and we’ll happily grind it if you need.

Great brews guaranteed especially when they’re for free, amirite?

Random long story about our new tub labels 💛

When my Nan passed, my mum gave us first dibs on her things before the whole family descended.

Did I go for the swag? The shiny things? The bling? Nah course not.

In her toilet she had a tiny frame maybe 4x4cm which she’d cut out a clipping from somewhere; it read, ‘look after me and keep me clean and I will not tell wha I had seen’.

Obviously as a kid I thought that was hilarious given its location and I now have it in my bathroom as a reminder of how silly she was (my greatest inspo) and hopefully make other folk smile in the way it did for me.

So when designing some new stickers to be used on our local wholesale besties reusable tubs, we thought there was no better quote. Helping us get them back in great condition (although we clean everything again ofc) to go back into the cycle the following week.

Never just one coffee 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Something that makes us a little different and something that folks sometimes get a bit confused about is - which coffee is the gay one?

The answer, ALL OF THEM 💅

We decided from the start not to restrict which coffee would be q***r because, why cant they all be q***r?!

That way everyone’s favourite coffee can be gay, as it should be, yay!

They all donate 1% to everyone’s favourite Gendered Intelligence and do so all year round, no pink washing here ladz.

So question is, which one will you turn? 👀

This is it 😭

Today we say the fondest of farewells to our dear friend, Lib.

We’ve been on quite the ride together over the last 2.5 ish years and I couldn’t be more grateful for having them reach out all that time ago asking if we had anything on the horizon.

Truth is we didn’t but they wrote such a lovely message we knew we had to make something work.

They mastered roasting, packing, cupping, hatching and basically running the whole biz so I could take all time off to heal properly from 2 major surgeries with no worries or stress about work, wild right?

Suffice to say that I’m damned lucky to have worked with this wonderful human, I’ll miss so much but in particular; picking their brain for the latest lowdowns in politics and talking about which TV show made us cry the night before (mainly Hacks).

It’s been a pleasure pal, I’m so happy for you and your new adventure.

Thanks for everything.

Please can everyone wish them a fond fateful 👋😭🩷🫂
