We are looking for a Yardman/ Delivery Driver. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to butchery, yard operations, and driving duties. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our business and maintaining high standards of customer service. The key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials
- Load and unload trucks and containers using a forklift
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all orders
- Inspect forklifts before each use and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
Driving:
Covering rounds for deliveries and ensuring prompt and accurate distribution of orders.
Responding to ad-hoc delivery requests with efficiency and professionalism.
Safely operating the company vehicle and adhering to all traffic regulations.
Maintaining a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in butchery or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good physical fitness as the role may involve heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability to cover delivery rounds and ad-hoc requirements.
