The Apple Tree has been under new management and we’re in the process of strengthening the kitchen team ready to raise standards and bring consistency back to a well-known local pub along with bringing some fresh energy and ideas for the right candidate.

We’re keeping what people love — proper, traditional pub food done well — alongside a rotating specials menu offering more refined, creative dishes.

We’re looking for a Chef who:

✅ Cooks classic pub favourites to a high standard
✅ Enjoys creating quality, seasonal specials
✅ Runs a clean, organised kitchen
✅ Can handle busy services confidently
✅ Is reliable, professional and takes real pride in their work
✅ Thrives as part of a strong kitchen team under our Head Chef
✅ Brings positive energy and teamwork to every service
✅ Pulling rank as the Head chefs second in command
✅ Assisting with ordering and stock control through the week.

This is a great opportunity for a solid Chef to help shape the direction of the kitchen in a fresh new chapter for The Apple Tree. Not to mention, you will have some level of autonomy to add your creative touch and incorporate your name on to the specials board along side the Head Chef.

We are changing things up a little for our specials and taking a trip to France 🇫🇷

Along with our popular chicken burger that’s on. We have a Deliciously Slow-Braised Duo of Beef Short Rib and Pork Rib, a Rainbow Dauphinois Potato (layers of sweet potato, purple sweet potato, and normal potato, cooked and pressed in a rich creamy sauce). To accompany the dish we have seasonal veg of Tenderstem Broccoli, Bourbon Glazed Carrots and Kale, served with a Rich and Hearty Bourguignon Sauce.

We feel specials are meant to feel well… special! And in all honesty, for 16.95 it’s and absolute bargain, surprisingly filling too, but also leaves just enough room to polish the meal with an Eton mess.

Next week, we will be incorporating more salads and offering lighter dishes with the weather being so stunning. 🤩 ☀️
