Who remembers Spuds U Like in Chester? Many years ago, whenever I was visiting Chester, that was always my go-to place for lunch. I absolutely loved their jacket potatoes, and looking back, they were one of the reasons I fell in love with the idea of serving great spuds myself.

I also remember the two ladies who had a jacket potato stall at the entrance to Coed Mawr Market. Their potatoes were always amazing and I never missed the chance to grab one when I was there. They really knew how to do a proper spud!

It's funny how the things we enjoy years ago can inspire what we do later in life. Those memories definitely played a part in me starting my own jacket potato business, and I'm grateful for the inspiration they gave me.

Well, today we sold out of our Chinese-style chicken curry 🙂

So now we know that's definitely going to become a regular filling! Thank you all for the amazing support.

Tomorrow's Special: Bolognese! 🍝

We've had so many requests for this one, so we're giving it a whirl. Bolognese, packed with flavour and perfect served over our homemade chips or on a spud. 🥔

Be quick though – if today's anything to go by, it won't hang around for long! 😋

Monday Brew & Chat at Spud Sensation (Mold) 💛
Pop in this morning for tea, coffee and cake
Free, anyone is welcome 🥰

I’ll be opening Spud Sensation in Mold every other Monday from 10am–12pm for a relaxed and friendly get-together.

Just to note, this isn’t a trading day—the shop won’t be open for business. Instead, it’s simply a safe, welcoming space for local ladies and Men to come together.

There’ll be free tea, coffee, cake and biscuits, a warm atmosphere, and a chance to chat (or just sit quietly) with friendly faces. Whether you’re feeling a little lonely, going through a tough time, or just fancy getting out of the house—you’re so welcome here.

There’s absolutely no pressure to talk—just come along, have a cuppa, a bite to eat, and enjoy some company.

Because sometimes, all we really need is a simple chat and a reminder that we’re not alone 💛
