🦌 When Should You Intervene?
It can be concerning to see a deer with an injury, but wild deer are often remarkably resilient and can sometimes recover well from minor injuries.

If the deer is moving around and otherwise behaving naturally, the best approach is usually to monitor from a distance and avoid causing additional stress. If there are concerns that the injury is worsening or the animal is struggling, contact a local wildlife rescue or appropriately trained person for advice. Intervention should generally be a last resort, as capture and handling can cause significant stress to wild deer and may worsen the situation.
