💙 RIDE ON, SAM 💙🏍️
Last week, The Griffin family lost one of its special ones!
If you’ve spent time in town, there’s a good chance you spotted Sam riding through the streets on his bike He was someone many people recognised, and to us, he’ll always be our Bike Man Sam.

For many years, Sam proudly advertised for The Griffin on the back of his bike, and it always brought a smile to see him riding around town. He became part of the character and community that makes Newquay so special.

All of us at The Griffin would like to send our heartfelt condolences, love and strength to Sam’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time. Our thoughts are with you all. ❤️

Ride free, Sam. May the roads ahead always be open, the sun always shine, and your spirit live on in the memories of everyone who knew you.

Some days make you stop and appreciate just how lucky we are to call Newquay home. 💙

Imagine waking up to a full Cornish breakfast, taking a stroll along some of the UK’s most beautiful coastal paths, watching the boats bob around our stunning harbour, breathing in that fresh sea air…, then coming back for lunch, a ploughman’s or a refreshing drink in the sunshine at The Griffin. 🍳🥪🍺

🥇 OUR STAFF ARE CHAMPIONS! 🥇 Amazing staff strike again!
Every Tuesday evening, we’re delighted to welcome our fantastic local Newquay Waterpolo team to The Griffin after their matches, just somewhere to relax together over sandwiches, nibbles and a well-earned drink after the game. 🥪🥤

This week, whilst giving out there own medals the team presented our very own Polly and Sam with some “champion” medals for keeping everyone fed and watered each Tuesday! 🏅
We love it! well done ladies!☺️😂

It’s moments like these that remind us what The Griffin is all about fantastic, caring, helpful, staff, brilliant customers and a community that knows how to have a great time together. ❤️
