Day 19 of trying to open my own cafe

Started the day by heading over to in Penryn to get my thumb tattooed. is an absolute legend, thanks again! (If you want line work... he's your guy!)

Then it was back to The Attic for some very satisfying jet washing. I don't know why I thought wearing my white trainers was a good idea... RIP.

Day 18 of trying to open my own cafe

Another double shift today, so there wasn't much actual cafe progress. Soz.

I did trade in a few games at CeX though, which I'll probably spend on some PS2 games for the cafe. Any requests?

That's it. Okay byeeeeee

Day 17 of trying to open my own cafe

I think these videos are starting to make people recognise me now... which is both really cool and also slightly terrifying.

Today's mission was finishing off the outside and sorting the lower decking area... right up until my scrubbing brush gave up on life and snapped. Fair enough really, it had a tough day.

Tomorrow's mission: buy a stronger brush.

Day 16 of trying to open my own cafe

Started the day with a bargain... found KerPlunk! in the chazza for £2

Did a quick shift at Sushea, then headed over to The Attic to tackle the upper decking area. Turns out hoovering outside actually works really well.. probably got some strange looks from everyone walking past. 🤨

Also, if anyone from Monster happens to be watching... I've drank enough during this cafe build to deserve a sponsorship by now. Just saying.

Day 15 of trying to open my own cafe.

Not every day is a big renovation day.

I was working all day at my other job, but I did manage to squeeze in a bit of background admin stuff and sorted through some more magazines before my shift.

Not the most exciting update, but progress is progress. Promise the next one is gonna be extra chaotic.

In the meantime if anyone fancies buying something from my vinted / Ebay store so I can work less hours.. 😂

Day 14 of trying to open my own cafe

Went to the car boot and accidentally found the most unhinged 70s magazine... you'll know the one I mean if you've watched the video. 😬

Other finds include:
• Clown coat hook £1
• CD rack £3
• Blue tiles £5
• 90s festival tee £1.50
• Vintage coffin bank 50p

Not too shabby!

Best part of the day though? Someone recognised me at the car boot. I peaked. Felt like a celebrity for about 30 seconds.

Day 13 of trying to open my own cafe

Started the day with the mandatory trip to Screwfix because apparently I live there now.

Also discovered that using polyfiller is weirdly satisfying. Filled a load of holes, started cleaning one of the fridges and attempted to make the place look slightly less like a building site.

Day 12 of trying to open my own cafe

Had the day off and was convinced I was going to get loads done...

Got to The Attic, opened the front door... and it snapped immediately? So today's plans changed to driving around to FOUR different shops trying to find the right part. Finally found one, but spent more money than I wanted to.

Sorry the bad dancing. 😬

Day 11 of trying to open my own cafe

Another thrilling episode of trying to open a cafe whilst working 12-hour shifts... as you can imagine, didn't get much done.

Just have to think that every shift earns me more money... which I can spend on more cool s**t for the cafe!

Normal chaos will resume tomorrow, brace yourself.

Day 10 of trying to open a cafe

Didn't manage to get to The Attic today because I was busy surviving a 12-hour shift at my other job.. (yes I still have another job for now!)

I did manage to pick up some magazines I'd bought though, ready to turn some of the pages into posters for The Attic.

Got another double shift tomorrow so... we'll see what happens.
