Some of you will have visited in the past and not seen the amazing improvements we’ve made and this week is the perfect time to come down, enjoy some peace, sun & maybe a coffee or 2!

And just a polite reminder, please always use the front door of the cafe (unless directed to side entrance by a staff member) it’s actually a private residence entrance & cuts through our wee staff area, a place I will always make sure is as private as can be for our staff💕 and I know we’re good but we’re not see through walls good, if you come in and we don’t know you’re there we can’t serve you! Plus how are you gonna see all the lovely cakes if you don’t walk past them? 😂

We’re calling last orders soon, it’s been a very quiet afternoon and we can’t blame people as it’s too hot too eat!!

And again this cafe is ridiculously warm, hopefully as this weather continues we’ll all get a bit more accustomed to working in 30 degree heat, for now I’d rather have happy & healthy staff especially at the start of the good weather ☀️

Coffee Saga continues..

At this point we’re not even embarrassed anymore 😂

Still not arrived today but after a very helpful phonecall, one of the warehouse guys is getting the 4am boat tomorrow over and is very kindly gonna drop us a supply off on his way whilst we wait on the delivery getting through to us from Carlisle!

So thank you to Graeme & Laura for sorting out another solution & I cannot wait to walk in and be able to get my caffeine fix & have happy customers once again!!!

We will be able to serve all coffee related drinks once again from 9am tomorrow 😍 ☕️

If I’ve jinxed it by updating you all just know I will be crying harder than you. 🥲

Thanks for the patience & the kindness to myself and the girls the last 2 days and to the 0.5% that were rude about it, you’re not our kinda customers 🖕🏼☺️

You know when you’re having a s**t week? THATS US 😭

Coffee running low over weekend - phoned supplier to confirm where our coffee was.. not being sent til Monday.

Borrowed 2 bags from the lovely Gem Rock Museum Creetown, to see us through as delivery is 48hrs tracked.

Phoned first thing Monday to confirm dispatch of order and amount of boxes etc.

Gregg has hounded his work and as soon as parcel force delivery came in empty handed for us I’m back on the phone.

Turns out they’ve no even sent it on Monday as stated. So now we’re about to run out of coffee.. so anyone fancy a Tea?😭😂

It’s been sent today so should be here tomorrow hopefully, not really sure what else to do or say 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

And NO I will not compromise and buy lower standard beans as we are known for our cracking coffee ☕️

Have a look in our fancy new cake cabinet and see what other flavours we’ve decided to try that day!

Or as always suggestions welcome, we love a taste test (it’s usually me and our dishwasher Luke fighting over the goodies😂)

We’re closing today early as we have completely scunnert ourselves in this heat. The cafe temp was 24Degrees at half 7 this morning and has only gotten worse. It’s over 34 now and myself and the team are TIRED 😂

Well done to my girls getting through the last couple days, constantly on move with steam wands, fryers ovens in your face and never ever stopping in a building that’s hoovered above 30degrees from 11am each day.

We’ve been lucky enough to be busy enough that we can do this and not everyone has that option, so for that and our amazing team I’m very thankful!

Now can we have a proper thunderstorm?

The Cafe is will be closed today (Tuesday 23rd)

I spent my day off yesterday in bed and woke up even more ill and useless than yesterday - nothing about me would be safe or hygienic for a kitchen environment today and the other chef today is her official 1st day at the job and I’m not about to leave her in the s**t. (Although she’s a superstar and would probably cope) it’s not a fair move!

I’m really sorry I don’t want to shut cafe at the last minute where possible but I am also choosing to listen to my body and give it the rest it needs and deserves!

We’ll be back with you tomorrow!!
