Every now and again you’ve got to push against the relentless drive for optimal and efficient.

Sowing by hand at Sukkot, losing much to crows, harvesting by scythe, gathering and sheafing by hand. This bread won’t be easy. But it will be good 🌾 🍞

Blessed rain. It may feel dreary but it’s exactly what our field crops and green manures need. This will give the brassica and squash a helpful head start without the need for irrigation.

It also makes for very photogenic shots of Charlie of .flower.garden - which you should totally come and see on the 4th of July!
