Announcing our supporting short film for tomorrow night’s edition of Starlight Cinema: The Act of Making Music (Taryn Everdeen) 🎶

After a burnout forces Peter to abandon his work as a chemist, he finds himself busking on the streets for his income. Through him, we meet a community of amateur musicians whose lives intersect at local open mic nights. The Act of Making Music is a portrait of the people who keep grassroots music alive and a celebration of the spaces where creativity matters more than perfection. ✨

The film will be followed by our feature presentation, Yesterday (Danny Boyle).

We’ve got delicious red lentil dahl on the menu, so rock up early and have a bowl before the film starts! The bar will be open, with popcorn & snacks available. 🍻🍿

Doors open at 6.30pm, the showing will start at 7pm. We expect the evening to wrap up around 9.45pm

🌌 🪐 IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION ABOUT SPACE - followed by a screening of INTERSTELLAR

SATURDAY 20TH JUNE - at Forncett Industrial Steam Museum

From 6pm: There will be an immersive exhibition amongst the engines that explores humanity's relationship to earth and interstellar travel.

This will be followed by a screening of Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR at 7pm upstairs in The Steam Café.

The exhibition features short film 'The Mars Project' by Louis Rémy, a student at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris. Through a collection of archive videos found in the depths of the internet, ordinary people apply to join a space mission team heading to Mars in the year 2022.
