Hey!
So on Sunday 5th July, we have a really big event coming up! In fact it’s our biggest fundraiser of the year and we would love you to all be there. Last year we raised around £4000 for a series of raffles, tombolas, entrance fees and people paying to take part.
It will be a celebration of all things NDSSG with our Warriors footballers playing matches earlier on in the day, competing for cups and medals, and the Dance Warriors of all ages and from all areas dancing together on the pitch.
And then the main event will take place. Mums, Dads, and adult siblings will make up team FAMILY. And coaches and volunteers from our Dance and Football groups will make up team STAFF.
If you are a family member or staff/volunteer from NDSSG and would like to take part and play for one of the teams, please let me know ASAP - we may have a couple of spaces left. Women and men will take part together. It should be a fun match where everyone can join in and enjoy themselves, and hopefully not too competitive.
If you can’t take part in the match, we would love your help from the sidelines by helping to donate quality raffle prizes or tombola items. Or by helping set up in the morning from 10am or tidy up at the end of the day until around 5pm.
Or your last option is just to come along and enjoy the fun! We should have loads to keep the children occupied, and every child is welcome to take part in a penalty shootout halftime. NFFC community trust will be bringing a few things along for the kids too.
Ilkeston Town has a well stocked bar for drinks, and a little café where you can buy chips, bacon cubs, hotdogs, burgers and so on. It has tons of parking and is easily accessible from all areas of the County being midway between Nottingham and Mansfield.
