A huge thank you to each and every one of you for your incredible hard work, dedication and passion.

Winning Food Pub of the Year 2026 simply wouldn’t have been possible without your commitment to producing outstanding dishes, day in and day out. Your talent, teamwork and pride in every plate make The Halfway House what it is.

⚽️ A little reminder for tomorrow evening! ⚽️

England 🏴 vs Norway 🇳🇴 – 10:00pm Kick Off

We’re looking forward to another fantastic night cheering England on together! To help make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable evening, we’d like to remind everyone of a few arrangements.

❤️ From 9:00pm onwards, the pub will be over 21s only. This decision has been made purely to help protect our staff, our customers and the atmosphere on what will be a very busy night.

🍻 All indoor tables are fully reserved, however we will have standing room available, along with outdoor seating with a TV and full match commentary.

🐶 A little apology to our four-legged friends… We don’t feel tomorrow evening will be a suitable or dog-friendly atmosphere, so for one night only we kindly ask that dogs stay at home.

If we reach capacity, we may have to operate a one in, one out system or temporarily refuse entry. We hope you understand that everyone’s safety must come first.

We also ask that all of our team are treated with the respect they deserve. They work incredibly hard to make these events enjoyable for everyone, and we have zero tolerance for anyone who is abusive or challenges our staff.

Let’s get behind England, look after one another, and make it another brilliant night for our wonderful community pub.

To our fantastic front of house team – thank you for the warm welcomes, friendly smiles, and exceptional customer service you provide every single day. You always go the extra mile to ensure every guest leaves happy, and we’re so proud of each and every one of you.

To our wonderful customers – thank you for your continued support, loyalty, and encouragement throughout the year. Whether you visit us every week or have just discovered us, this simply wouldn’t be possible without you. We are truly grateful.

And finally, to my dad, Vinnie, landlord of The Halfway House – thank you. You had a vision, believed in it, and worked tirelessly to make it a reality. The place you’ve created is something truly special, and we’re all incredibly proud to be part of it.
