Join us for a wonderful evening of Modern Classic Greek Food done with a Green Man twist.
This gorgeous evening will be served alfresco in true Greek Style, weather permitting, and we will be offering a personally selected – and tasted, Greek Wines to accompany the menu. And believe me the wines are truly gorgeous!

We are looking for a full/part-time chef to join our friendly, family-run team at The Green Man Partridge Green.

We are a busy, highly regarded, country pub serving modern British, locally sourced food with an emphasis on Seafood, Fish, Game and seasonal produce.

Our kitchen is large, bright and airy and we have a well-established team that we are looking to expand. We are looking for someone with a passion for food and an eye for detail.

Previous experience in a similar pub restaurant environment, in a similar role for minimum of 1 year, is essential, and further training can be provided to grow your career.

You will be expected to provide support to our other chefs, prepare plates, desserts & cold food as a starting point.

The job will entail working lunchtimes, evenings, weekends and occasional bank holidays but not including Christmas Day or New Years Day. Standard working hours can be flexible Wednesday to Sunday.

Access to transport is essential due to our beautiful location.
Competitive salary will be commensurate on experience and skill level.

Just to wish our Queens of Sundays, Justine Clark a very Happy 60th Birthday!

Many of our lovely customers will know Justine and am sure will join me in wishing her the happiest of days celebrating- the ‘golden girls’ are taking her out today and know we’ll have a special day celebrating.

Justine has been part of our family for over 33 years and been part of the Illes family since she was 18 and we love her dearly.

See you later lovely and the chefs can’t wait for the birthday bumps later!

Just to wish all the wonderful Father's out there a very Happy Father's Day today. Enjoy your day "Sussex Dad's" - particularly if you are joining us for lunch today.

And we are blessed to have 3 very special Green Man Father's and one who watches us from afar and just want to let them know how much we love and appreciate you all!.

Being a good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable people in our lives - whether he is related or not related to his family.

A father is neither an anchor to hold us back, nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way.
