I read yesterday, how more and more Chinese Kitchens are buying in there ‘deep fried’ produce.
With wholesalers setting up in the likes of Newcastle and Liverpool, distributing up and down the Country.
How sad is that for my Industry?
We already have Kitchens using ready mix Curry Powders and Sauces.
Now, the meats will all look and taste the same..Chicken Balls, Crispy Chicken, Crispy Beef..all the same.
You will go to a Chinese in another City, just to dine on the exact same meal!
We’ll lose our originality and authenticity.
Rest assured, I spent part of my Day, here in MaMa’s, hand cutting, prepping and deep frying fresh Chicken Breast for this weekends service.
I still and will continue to personally do this, for my patrons for as long as MaMa’s is trading.
The same article told us how they predict the majority of family run, small Chinese Kitchens to be extinct in the next five to eight years.
Again, a sad fact, but it’s the truth.
It’s just not feasible for us to survive.
So wherever you are in the U.K, if you still have a Chinese Take Away in your Town, Use it or Lose it❤️
