And that’s a wrap!! Fyne Fest 2026 was a blast.

We want to thank everyone who came to support us. Your love keeps us going. It was lovely to see you all and coming back to us and remembering us from the last time.

Special thanks to the team who were absolutely amazing and nothing was too much. Thank you guys for putting up with us.

Last but not least our fellow traders, thank you for sharing your wonderful food with us.

Poson Dansala, Perth

We are hosting a small dansala for the 2nd time at the St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Perth on the 14th of June 2026 and you all are welcome!

Dansala “Generosity stalls” is a place where you get things for free especially cooked food and in Sri Lanka during the Poson festival there are so many of these across the country.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to get together and enjoy some amazing Sri Lankan food and culture. Just bring yourselves and celebrate with us.

We are cooking Shetland beef on Wednesday with soft spiced potatos. This slow cooked beef creates a really satisfying texture that’s very Sri Lankan in style. Potatoes are brilliant at soaking up all those spices in this curry the roasted curry powder, pandan, goraka, and coconut milk. They almost become the star of the dish.
Sri Lankan beef is typically a black/dark roasted curry, the potato helps hold the dish together and prevents it from being too dry or too oily.
