UPDATE! 📣

Some of you may already know, but unfortunately, we have been forced to close due to a serious odour issue caused by the local pumping station.

During the past two weeks, we’ve been working closely with Welsh water to try and identify the cause of the strong odour, that started outside our building and gradually worked its way inside. The strong odour has gradually got much worse meaning we are unable to open until a solution has been found.

Today we had a visit from an odour specialist who came to Site to carry out a more in-depth investigation into the issue. And he confirmed that it’s very likely that there is an issue with the levels at the pumping station which is located directly opposite our building. Resulting in the gases being forced up the chamber into our restaurant.

I was today advised that this may not be a quick fix and could take up to 2/3 weeks before the issue is resolved.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our guests for your understanding and patience. And apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

We will continue posting updates on this as soon as we get them.

At The MUDDY TOAD, we are committed to delivering the highest level of service to our guests. Therefore, we have deemed it necessary to conduct essential maintenance to ensure the continued quality of our establishment.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, especially to those who had reservations scheduled for this week. Your understanding and support are greatly appreciated as we work diligently to resolve these matters.
