🖤 WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK AT THE The Raven Bar🖤

Handing over from my bestie Luis Titchiner- We have A lovely little week of music, games, pies, pints and a bit of Dad Rock nonsense incoming.

We’re kicking things off on Thursday 18th with our Cosy Social Board Games Night, and we’ve added a few new games to the pile, so come down, grab a drink, find a table and get mildly competitive in the nicest possible way.

Then it’s live music all weekend 🎶

Friday 19th from 9pm
We’ve got Marney Bailey belting out some proper rock and blues.

Saturday 20th from 9pm
Craig Beal Music is back with energetic guitar hits to get the place moving.

And then on Sunday 21st, it’s Father’s Day, so we’re leaning fully into it with:

🥧🍺 Pie & a Pint Deal
🎸 Old school rock tunes
🕓 From 4pm till late

Bring Dad, bring your mates, bring someone who insists music peaked in 1977.

Sophistication was the word of the weekend with Miles Shorter and Monarchs Blues Band, the energy was cool. But then again, it always is when jazz and blues are involved...

This Friday, our local bluesy singing sensation Marney returns with a unique set of tunes you'd likely hear on a night out in the deep south. Stepping onto the stage at 9pm.

Then on Saturday, Craig Beal sings his way through a whole variety of tunes to get you singing along between baby Guinnesses. Entertaining you from 8:30pm.

🍺 ALES THIS WEEK AT THE RAVEN 🖤

We’ve got a cracking line-up on the pumps this week, from classic cask comfort to juicy hop-forward beauties.

🐾 WHIPPET GOOD – 4.1% ABV
A bright, easy-going pale ale with zippy citrus and tropical fruit notes. Light, fresh and properly drinkable, with a clean finish that makes it a cracking session pint.

🌈 KRUSH – 4.4% ABV
A big, fruit-forward single hop ale bursting with stone fruit, orange citrus, guava, berries and soft tropical notes. Juicy, colourful and refreshing without being heavy.

🏆 TIMOTHY TAYLOR’S LANDLORD – 4.3% ABV
A classic pale amber ale with citrus, fruity hop aromas and a smooth, balanced malt body. Full-flavoured with a gentle sweetness and a lingering traditional hop finish.

🐠 MONSTER AQUARIUM – 5.2% ABV
A juicy IPA brewed with Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops. Expect bright tropical fruit, white grape, lime zest and soft citrus notes, with a smooth body and refreshing finish.

🌊 SECOND WAVE – 6.0% ABV
A double dry-hopped IPA with Citra and Mosaic, packed with citrus, mango, peach and tropical fruit flavours. Bold, hazy and aromatic, with a lively hop punch and a juicy finish.

⚽ WORLD CUP ANNOUNCEMENT ⚽

The Raven isn’t returning to being a sports bar, but we know the World Cup is a big shared moment.

So we may be showing selected major fixtures where they fit around our usual Raven events, including England/Scotland games and possibly the later knockout stages.

No wall-to-wall Football or screens taking over the venue.
But just the odd big-match moment, Raven-style!

For everything else, we’ll still be your World Cup escape: cocktails, craft beer, music, and conversation!
