Frilly Lambeth cakes are still my favourite orders 🫶🎀

I’ve sent out a cake care email to all those with cakes on order this week, it may also be of help to anyone handling cakes this weekend 🫶

With the current UK heatwave approaching, please take extra care when transporting and storing your buttercream cake. Buttercream can soften and melt quickly in warm temperatures, so keep your cake as cool as possible and avoid leaving it in a hot car, direct sunlight, or outdoors. Once collected please refrigerate the cake if it isn’t being enjoyed straight away, then remove it around 30-60mins before serving to allow it to come back to room temperature for the best flavour and texture. Please carry the cake on a flat surface during transport and handle it gently. Once your cake has left our care, we cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused by heat or incorrect storage. Thank you for helping us keep your cake looking and tasting its very best!

For all of our bakes, we’d recommend taking similar care during the current heatwave. Please avoid leaving them in a hot car or in direct sunlight, and if possible, we strongly encourage bringing a Tupperware or airtight container for collection this week to help keep them as fresh as possible. As always, every bake is prepared to the highest standard of quality and freshness, but the unusually high temperatures can affect their condition and may cause them to spoil more quickly if not kept cool. Thank you for helping us keep your treats at their very best!

More shortbread footballers are due on the counter this week, and Saturday we will have football/england themed match boxes, more details to follow 👀

This week we will be spending our weekend in the wonderful St ives! We are attending their new Evening food market on Friday night, 5pm -8.30pm, sheep market. Then back again Saturday and Sunday for the Music Festival, Hill rise park, we have lots of exciting bakes in store for these events and we look forward to some ☀️ and good vibes 🎶

Shops open as usual Tuesday-Friday 10-4pm and Saturday 9-4pm 🙃

And also pitched up at Ramsey Milfields park 12-8pm for their 4th July Festivities 🥳

We shall have fresh cream scones in the fridge along with fresh strawberries, scones with Jam and Buttercream for Wimbledon Snacking, Toy Story biscuits, Toy Story afternoon tea spaces also available if you fancy escaping the heat in our air conditioned tea room, Victoria sponge slices on the counter.

A few custom items today cupcakes and a yummy white chocolate brownie stack.

Tomorrow at both events we shall have more stuffed cookies: Biscoff, pistachio & kinder.

The shop will have Wimbledon boxes, footy boxes and bbq boxes.

All £24 each

And also our England shortbread men are packed ready for the game Sunday.

Tomorrows bakes also include fudge tart shortbread, jam cornflake, all the Vienneses, including caramel ;) cherry Bakewell cookie bars Stuffed, Mars cookie bar, Oreo cookie bar, old school sponge, millionaires, brownies and lots more 🫶
