🍤🐟🍻🐑 give us a try, doubt you’ll regret it
OK!!! I think this may resonate with a few restauranteurs out there! 😊❤️👌
Seen a comment about something being over-priced in a restaurant, a classy place as well - The Inn at Ravenglass, annnd it got me thinking!
So, amazing food, as fresh as it comes, And You don’t have to do a thing, neither Prep it - Cook it - Clean up or Top up your own utility bills - and Top Notch Food is Guaranteed!
Let’s break this baby down😊 Figures may be slightly off, but not far off!
The Dish in Question?
* KINg SCALLOPS, CRISPY SMOKED BACON & PEA PUREE £14
The Comment on Faceache - by someone who’s got less mates than my dog was “£14 for a starter you won't last”
Price £14
Ingredients £4.00
Chef prep & cook time, plus skill set £2.50
Waiting on, ordering, cracking, welcoming, carrying n clearing £0.83p
Gas £0.50p
Electric £0.20p
Cleaning £0.15p
Heating £0.20p
Total so far is £8.38p
£14 less Vat = £11.67 less £8.88
= Profit of £2.79 - not including accountants - cleaning materials penny’s & water or travel cost to and from work…
FINALLY - Whatever profit is made from that £14 dish, expect our lovely MP’s to demand 20% from whatever profit is left over(corp Tax) !!!
Not so dear after all is it!
The moral of the story is this - whenever you eat out, Remember, each price is less 20% Vat, Government, ( killer )
Ingredients - Time to clean, prep, cook, waiting on, stock fetching etc etc
Then there are the Bills - lecky - water - gas - tech, accountants - the list is endless!
Plates, cups, cutlery - decor - tables chairs oh my word!!!! Oh and Rent👀 FML
National insurance ( Killer )
Corporation Tax ( Killer )
So be nice and simply enjoy great food, great service in a nice setting!
I’ve yet to meet a restauranteur here that doesn’t do their best and try to be their best!
But hey! Don’t forget to take a pic of your £15 cocktail next time you’re out of the county eh😁👍😊❤️🍹📷🤳
