Caked Out

I have a level 2 food hygiene certificate and am a registered business..

I love baking, and although I particularly enjoy making cakes, I also love making my fully loaded brownies, giant cake style cookies and trying out new recipes and flavours.

In not wanting to post this before the bride and groom were ready, I've realised I completely failed to post this elegant wedding cake from May!

Bottom tier was a classic vanilla sponge, strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream.

Middle tier was a delicious white chocolate chip sponge with raspberry jam, fresh raspberries and white chocolate buttercream.

Top tier was a luscious lemon sponge, lemon curd and lemon buttercream.

All decorated with faux flowers to made the bride's bouquet and sat on a wood board.

Cake completed this week on the HOTTEST day of the year.... not sure how I managed that one lol buttercream is a nightmare in the heat.

Yummy vanilla sponge, with lashings of vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam in between every layer and covered with a soft dusky pink buttercream. Handmade roses with macarons and edible pearls and a twenty one topper complete this rose gold classic.

This week's bake and its oh so chocolately!

Soft and unctuous chocolate sponge cake, slathered in milk chocolate buttercream, decorated with a milk chocolate drip ganache and finished with cadbury flakes, cadbury giant buttons and galaxy chocolate.

The perfect cake for a chocolate lover.

This weekend's bakes....

20 vanilla cupcakes with blue and pink homemade vanilla frosting. Finished with edible pearls before customer added their own stitch and angel toppers.

Vanilla sponge cake, with vanilla buttercream coloured bright red and strawberry jam. Decorated with handmade fondant spiderman head, hands, webbing and spider.

Hope both birthday recipients enjoyed their cakes and special days!

First of this week's bakes...
6 vanilla and 6 chocolate cupcakes all with multicoloured fondant toppers decorated with edible bluey prints made by the lovely

Again hadn't got round to posting these from last week!

First a batch of chocolate cupcakes, white chocolate buttercream and topped with star wars edible prints on fondant. Prints done by the fab

Second bake is a gorgeous paddington themed chocate cake. Filled with strawberry jam and covered with blue vanilla buttercream. Handmade paddington bear by yours truly and finished with a number cake charm!

Just realised I hadn't posted the last few bakes I'd done...so here they are!

A Taylor Swift inspired chocolate sponge cake, nutella buttercream filling and covered with vanilla buttercream. Glitterballs, edible pearls, tall candles and coloured edible dusts to create the look.

6 vanilla cupcakes, with strawberry jam centres, vanilla buttercream and topped with strawberries.

6 chocolate sponge cupcakes, with chocolate ganache centres, white chocolate buttercream and topped with fox's chocolate rings.

And finally a mini/bento lemon cake, sandwiched with lemon curd and lemon buttercream!
