Today schools break up for the long summer holidays, and many families may well be wondering how to fill the next seven weeks. . . .

We're so lucky to live in a city with plenty to enjoy right here on our doorstep. As residents It's all too easy to forget how much Ripon has to offer!

Why not spend a day at Fountains Abbey, where there's a great children's play area and the summer of play activities? Perhaps enjoy a round of mini golf in the Spa Gardens, take a gentle canal cruise from the canal basin, or discover something new at the Police Museum.

If getting outdoors is more your thing, the riverside walks are perfect for spotting wildlife and enjoying some fresh air. And for young bookworms, Ripon Library's Summer Reading Challenge is a wonderful way to keep reading fun through the holidays - not forgetting the activities run by the library too!

Whether you're staying close to home or heading further afield this summer, we hope you and your families have a happy, and memorable break.

And do remember - If you're out and about in Ripon, do pop into Realitea for a drink, or a bite to eat as we'd love to hear all about your summer adventures 😊

A little update from all of us at Realitea...

For those who may not already know, we'll be open this week Tuesday to Friday from 10:00am, with all your favourite homemade treats, delicious drinks, and the usual warm welcome waiting for you.

We will be closed on Saturday, 18th July as we're delighted to be catering for a lovely couple on one of the most special days of their lives—their wedding day. 😊

Of course, we'd love to see you before then, so if you're passing by, pop in and say hello. We can't wait to welcome you to Realitea this week!

Just a reminder that as part of Ripon Theatre Festival your very own Bollywood Dance Group will be performing this morning at approximately 11.30.

To be sure of catching the joy of the dance we invite you to come along to the Market Square and join in! Oh - and do remember to bring a scarf for those dance moves and a bottle of water to keep hydrated!

If you're melting faster than an ice cream in a greenhouse then we invite you to seek refuge at Realitea.

We've great coffee, (and tea!) comfy seats, and absolutely no expectation that you'll do anything more strenuous than decide which cake to have!

Speaking of cake... some say it has cooling properties 😉. (This has not been scientifically proven, but we're more than happy for you to help us with the research.)

So, why not escape the heat, enjoy a quiet coffee, indulge in a slice of something delicious, and take a well-earned breather from the sunshine.

We've had a last-minute cancellation, which means we now have a couple of tables available for our much-loved Friday Night Dhaba Dining Experience on Friday 24th July.
