Big news! After almost two and a half years, the fine dining restaurant at The Old Deanery will be doing its last service on Friday 31st July 2026.

We will continue to offer overnight stays, and host our lovely weddings and events - with weddings and events being where we started when we first took over the venue in 2021!

It has been an incredible few years, but the time has come to go back to our roots and focus on different areas of the business. Thank you to all our guests, past, present and future - what an amazing ride it has been!

Tables are still available between now and 31st July. Booked weddings and events will still go ahead as arranged.

Anybody with dinner reservations from 1st August onwards will be contacted in due course and any deposits paid will be refunded. Gift cards may still be used against overnight stays and breakfast, or they are also redeemable at our York site; Galtres Lodge hotel and Forest restaurant, or we will refund the original purchaser.

A great first week back ✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week. After a short break, it was lovely to be back and welcoming guests through the door again.

We're back open for drinks from tomorrow, with food service returning from Thursday. There are still tables available Thursday to Saturday for our tasting menu if you'd like to join us.

And if you're just passing by, walk-ins are always welcome for lunch, coffee, cake, or a drink.
