We're expecting another cracking atmosphere tonight as England look to book their place in the World Cup Semi Finals! 🏆

Most of the tables directly in front of our big screens are now already booked up. While we are still open to walk-ins throughout the evening, and don't mind the comradery of a bit of a squeeze; please be aware that we can no longer guarantee a table with an amazing view of the match. 📺

🍽️ Thinking of joining us for food? Please book where possible! 🍽️

Firstly, thank you for choosing to dine with us. We love seeing both familiar faces and new customers through our doors, and we'll always do our best to accommodate walk-ins.

However, during peak times, weekends and spells of good weather, we're seeing a significant increase in walk-ins. As an independently managed pub, serving freshly prepared food, sudden surges in demand can lead to longer waiting times and, occasionally, earlier kitchen closes while we work through orders.

Booking ahead helps us:
✅ Prepare appropriately for service
✅ Ensure adequate staffing levels are in place
✅ Reduce waiting times
✅ Maintain the quality and consistency of our food and service

Already joining us for drinks and think you may fancy food later? Please let a member of the team know at the bar. Even a quick heads-up helps us plan ahead and manage service more effectively.

We're always happy to welcome walk-ins wherever possible, but if you're planning to visit during a busy period, a quick phone call or online booking really does make a huge difference. 🙏

🌍⚽ Sunday Funday... and The World Cup Continues, Live at The Plough! ⚽🌍

Vini Jr and Brazil face Haaland and Norway this evening. Kick off at 9pm. Both teams have been firing on all cylinders so far this World Cup. If that continues, we're promising a classic... and a game that'll go down perfectly alongside a pint or three of Lees finest Original, in B*llsh*t corner this evening! 😉💙

Brazil vs Norway will be the only World Cup fixture shown at The Plough today, which yes... unfortunately means, we will not be opening for the England vs Mexico game. The uncertain demand or appetite, alongside the probable delays to kickoff, swayed our decision. We apologise for those dreaming of 4am last orders; and hope to resume our England World Cup Coverage, this Saturday! 🤞
