🥵🔥 HOT, HOT... STILL HOT! 🔥🥵

Remember last week's heatwave? Well... apparently the weather didn't get the memo that it was supposed to cool down! 🌞

With temperatures around **33°C outside**, our kitchen is currently sitting at a lovely **35.5°C... and that's BEFORE we've even switched anything on!** 😳🌡️

We'll be serving food as usual:
🍴 **Lunch: 12pm–1.30pm**
🍴 **Evening: 6pm–7.30pm**
..or until the kitchen starts resembling the inside of a pizza oven! 🍕🔥

As always, the safety and wellbeing of our fantastic kitchen team comes first, so if temperatures become too extreme once everything's fired up, we may have to stop food service earlier than planned.

The bar, thankfully, remains fully stocked with cold drinks, so if nothing else, pop in and help us test whether a pint really is the best way to survive a British heatwave! 🍺🍷🍦

Thank you, as always, for your understanding and support. Our kitchen team deserve medals... or at the very least, an industrial-sized fan! 😂

🌞🔥 THE HEAT IS STILL ON! 🔥🌞

Following on from yesterday's post... it's another very warm one today, and it looks like this spell of hot weather is set to continue right through the weekend! ☀️🥵

Even with our reduced hours, the kitchen is still incredibly hot. Yesterday, with **no ovens or fryers running**, temperatures still climbed to **over 42°C**! 🌡️😳

🍽️ Food service today:
⏰ **12pm – 1pm**
⏰ **6pm – around 7pm**

As always, please bear with our kitchen team as they're working in conditions that are better suited to baking bread than cooking your dinner! 👨‍🍳🔥

🎶 This evening we have our popular **Folk Club from 8pm**! 🎻🎤

Why not come along, enjoy a drink, join in with the singing, or simply sit back and soak up the atmosphere? It's always a fantastic evening and everyone is welcome.

🍺 We'll have plenty of cold drinks ready, so pop in, cool down, and enjoy a great night of music and company.

Stay hydrated, stay cool, and let's hope someone remembers where they left the giant fan! 😎❄️😂

🔥 STILL HOTTER THAN A BBQ ON THE SUN! 🔥

Well... yesterday our kitchen hit **over 51°C** 🥵🌡️, which is apparently the same temperature as the surface of a freshly parked car and approximately 50 degrees hotter than anyone wanted!

The good news is we're **OPEN AS USUAL** for cool, refreshing drinks 🍻🥤❄️ — because hydration is now basically a survival skill.

🍽️ Food service will once again be:
⏰ **12pm – 1pm**
⏰ **6pm – 7pm**

Our kitchen staff are bravely facing conditions usually reserved for pizzas and volcanoes, so please bear with us if we need to make any last-minute adjustments.

However, if temperatures in the kitchen become too extreme, we may have to **stop food service or close the kitchen at short notice**. The safety of our kitchen staff has to come before serving food in what feels like the Sahara Desert! 🌵🥵

Pop in, cool down, and let us do the sweating so you don't have to! 😎☀️

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and remember: if your flip-flops start melting, it might be time to come inside for a cold one! 🍺😂

🔥 HOT, HOT, HOT! 🔥

It's a hot, hot, hot day! ☀️

Due to temperatures reaching over 45°C in our kitchen yesterday, and with similar conditions expected over the next couple of days, we have made the decision to offer a reduced menu on Wednesday and Thursday.

We will be serving food from **12pm–1pm** and **6pm–7pm**, provided temperatures remain at a safe level for our team. If conditions become too hot, we may have to stop food service or close the kitchen at short notice.

Thank you for your understanding and support. Please take care in the heat and stay safe out there! ☀️

🌞 In Light of the Extreme High Temperatures 🌞

As the temperatures rise this week, we want to ensure everyone stays safe, comfortable, and refreshed!

Please be mindful that our team are working exceptionally hard in the heat to give you the best experience—your patience and kindness go a long way and are truly appreciated. Service may be a little slower than usual due to staff taking additional breaks, and food service may finish slightly earlier than normal if temperatures become unbearable for our kitchen team.

We're fully stocked with cold drinks and serving up hot food, with our beer garden open and extra shaded seating available to help you beat the heat.

Remember to stay hydrated, take breaks from the sun, and look out for one another.

We look forward to welcoming you for a chilled pint, tasty food, and good times—cheers to a warm and safe week! 🍻

Just a reminder that we will be CLOSED on Bank Holiday Monday.

Our team works incredibly hard all year round, and we’d like to give them the opportunity to enjoy a well-earned day off with their families and loved ones ❤️

We appreciate your understanding and continued support, and we’ll be back open as normal on Tuesday.

Wishing everyone a lovely Bank Holiday weekend!

Due to a number of our staff attending a funeral, we will only be serving pre-booked tables at lunchtime today.

We will be open as normal this evening.
