Nobody talks about the real reason gluten free bakeries matter.

It’s not cake.

It’s not pastries.

It’s not bread.

It’s spontaneity.

Walking into a bakery and knowing you can choose ANYTHING. Even gluten free summer cheesecake. 🍓

No label reading.
No interrogating staff.
No settling for the one sad packaged option.

Just pointing at the thing you want and saying:

“I’ll have that.”

Hot take: The worst part of being gluten free isn’t the food.

It’s the disappointment. It’s ordering the gluten free option. Waiting excitedly.

Then watching everyone else’s meal arrive looking incredible while yours turns up looking like it lost a fight on the way from the kitchen.

Dry bun.
Tiny portion.
Sad side salad.

£3 extra.

And somehow we’re supposed to be grateful.

Gluten free people deserve food that looks just as good as everyone else’s.

Unpopular opinion:

Most restaurants shouldn’t offer gluten free food.

Before you come for us…

If a kitchen doesn’t understand cross contamination, we’d rather they said “no” than pretended they could do it safely.

Coeliac safety isn’t about having an option.

It’s about trust.
