Some of you will remember Eva from Saturday mornings when she served you at the Bear Van. Many of you will have tasted her incredible cakes from her time working as sous baker to . Eva was a very special and much-loved member of Team Bear, and still a great friend.
On 17th February she is doing something quite incredible for us. She’s having 16 inches of her precious hair cut off in memory of Nigel, to raise funds and awareness for 2 charities:
- , who make real hair wigs for young people with cancer.
- , who did so much to try and help Nigel on that fateful day.
So far our wonderful community has raised over £8800 for Cornwall Air Ambulance. This year my target is to make that £10,000. I really hope Eva’s enormously kind gesture will help us get closer to that.
If you can, please sponsor her to give her a boost before the big hair cut day, and to help us reach our fundraising goal. Each Air Ambulance mission costs on average £5000. So far we have paid for Nigel’s mission, and now we are well over half way to paying for one more and hopefully giving someone else a chance at life. Let’s get to £10,000 this year.
