doubt that you are by the sea. After a long day lazing on the beach, our south facing terrace is the perfect place to relax, have a long drink, and watch the world go by. You may even see your dinner being landed on the harbourside. The Idle Rock’s restaurant, run by our Head Chef, Carla Jones, is a celebration of Cornwall; showcasing a range of fabulous produce that has been sourced locally using only seasonal fresh ingredients. In many cases it will have been swimming right on our doorstep only a few hours earlier and while the food is of the very highest standard, our setting is very relaxed. A great night in London.

We traded St Mawes for the city to attend the Media Showcase.
Our executive chef, Guy, spent the evening catching up with some of the UK's top travel journalists, sharing stories about what we do at The Idle Rocks, from our coastal menus to summer life shared on the terrace.

We also heard from Michael Caines MBE on 'The Art of British & Irish Hospitality', which is exactly what we try to focus on every day at the hotel.

We’re really excited about the launch of our Rosé on the Rocks Saturdays, kicking off at the end of June. 🦐

At the heart of the lunch is our seafood bar, where the daily catch takes centre stage. Guests choose their preferred portion of market‑priced fish or shellfish, then select from a set of signature sauces. Each dish is prepared simply and seasonally, served alongside generous sharing salads and sides that capture the spirit of summer.

This summer, we’re proud to be partnering with Maison Mirabeau Rosé, which is served chilled throughout the summer and pairs perfectly with any seafood lunch.

A separate vegetarian menu is also available, priced à la carte.
