Not many people know this, but Lou lives with various health conditions and chronic fatigue. She works incredibly hard and has adjustments in place behind the scenes to help her manage day to day.

Unfortunately, today is one of those days where exhaustion has caught up with her, and she needs to take things a little easier.

We are open as normal today, but we won't be operating our extended hours. Instead, we'll be closing at 4pm so that the day is a little more manageable.

We don’t usually make posts like this, but honestly, the last couple of days have been really slow.

The weather’s been lovely, it’s half term, and we genuinely thought the shop would be buzzing, so it’s been a little disheartening to say the least. We work so hard, both in the shop and behind the scenes, and sometimes small businesses really do feel the quieter days.

This isn’t a sympathy post, and we definitely don’t want negativity. We just want to be honest and remind people how important local support really is right now, not just for us, but for all independent businesses.

If you’re still here supporting us, thank you. Even the little things help more than people realise. Liking posts, sharing them, popping in for a coffee, a browse, a chat, or choosing local when you can genuinely makes a huge difference.
