It's another warm day, the football tournament marches on but it's a Tuesday so we're back with what we do best.. it's Quiz night. Our resident Quiz Master Dave will be in the house from 8.30PM with those all important general knowledge questions.

For us on the bar we've got our usual blend of cask ales, keg beers and spirits to tickle the taste buds and are all available until 11PM tonight.

Edition 1, 10yr speyside, 46.0%

This Speyside single malt is bottled by Sheffield’s only independent whisky bottler and is No.1 of only 252 bottles.
On the nose warm caramel and sun-ripened pears lead the way, lifted by a gentle drizzle of maple syrup. Rich orchard fruits slowly emerge alongside a playful hint of dried cranberry. Whilst on the palate it's fresh, crisp and beautifully smooth, juicy pears carry through from the nose, joined by a zesty whisper of marmalade and a medley of bright summer fruits. The finish is long, warm and wonderfully sweet, the fruit lingers gracefully as notes of buttery panettone and ripe pear gently fade, leaving a satisfying, bakery-fresh warmth.

It's a warm and sunny Tuesday so we're here and back at it gearing up for our weekly quiz night. Our resident Quiz Master Dave will be in the house from 8.30PM throwing out those all important general knowledge questions.

For us on the bar we've got plenty of choice across our range of cask ales, keg beers and spirits including the last of our special Sashay IPA casks from our own . This one was brewed as a special for the recent Kelham pride event as was keg and can only.. aside from 2 casks we sneaked off during the brewing process.

Straight Bourbon Whiskey 50.0%

This American Whiskey features a 36% mash bill, and after being fermented for seven days is distilled using natural artesian spring water with a notably soft profile. Matured for at least four years in American oak barrels, it's a classic straight bourbon, layered with sweet caramel, vanilla, oak char, and gentle spice. On the nose there's caramel, oaken vanilla, sweet cinnamon and a touch of pepper. Whilst on the palate you find layers of vanilla cream and toasted sugar, with baking spices and oak char in tow. Leading to notes of sweet oak, a touch of maple and cinnamon on the finish.

It's a glorious Tuesday out there today but we've got a shift in plans tonight. Given it's the England world cup game kicking off 9PM we're cancelling the quiz for this week and it will return next week.

For us on the bar we've got a stacked line up including specials from the weekends Kelham pride event but we're only running until 10PM this evening so get down for your pre-match pints.

The Tyrconnell 43.0%

This satisfying Irish single malt whiskey is produced in County Louth, Ireland and is double distilled before being matured in ex bourbon casks.
On the nose there's melted butter, honeyed cereal and a touch of orange pith. Whilst on the palate you find rich vanilla and soft fudge, with a touch of granary toast underneath. Finishing with lingering nutmeg spiciness and a touch of drying oak.
