https://www.rivaproject.co.uk/ Formed in 1998 as a 'youth club' style provision for young adults living with disabilities. Now RIVA encompasses a training room teaching independent living skills, a range of arts and crafts and lots of other fun activities, as well as visiting the local gym, cycling 4 all a

nd other external trips for adults with learning disabilities. Students can also gain retail, customer service and social experience in our sister charity The Riva cafe and charity shop. Our opening times are 9am-3pm Monday till Friday for 50-week contracts at a time. If you are interested please contact [email protected] or call us on 0114 3270808 to arrange a visit.

We love to get out and about when we can. We enjoyed a lovely day at Hillsborough Park. We went to the café for lunch which was delicious and spent some time in the walled garden.

Please be advised that our car park will be closed on Tuesday 14th July.

This is due to essential maintenance work being carried out on the car park.

RIVA will be open as normal with access through the pedestrian gate on Laird Road.

Please be advised that due to the resurfacing work been carried out on Rural Lane our car park will be closed on Friday 3rd July.

The centre will be open as normal with access through the pedestrian gate on Laird Road.

Access to Riva this morning. Traffic is diverted from Hallowmoor road and Ben lane round to Laird road, left at Wadsley Jack and in the top gate.
