Happy Friday folks 🎉 We’re feeling ready for a great weekend of gaming, following a VERY exciting games delivery yesterday 🤩

We’ve just added SEVEN brand new games to our library, and we’re hyped about every single one in different ways 😁

Here are some of our team nerding out over the neat little ships in the new edition of classic economic Eurogame Container, which you can now find in our library and in our shop (and for a very reasonable price, I might add 👀).

We’ve also just restocked some popular favourites in our shop, including Magical Athlete which we know lots of you have been waiting for - head to our online shop or pop in to bag your copy 🛍️

New games excitement aside, we’re looking extremely quiet today and moderately so over the rest of the weekend, so if you fancy stopping by we’d love to see you! The air con is doing great work, and today’s beer selection is particularly excellent in our humble opinion, so there are lots of reasons to pop in 🍻😋

Fun times were had by all at this month’s staff gaming night on Monday 😁

With new titles hitting our shelves all the time, we keep our knowledge fresh by getting together every month to play, eat pizza and enjoy a beer or two. It’s very hard work, as I’m sure you can imagine 😂

This month, we tried out newly arrived card game Skyjo, which is a favourite of the England football team, believe it or not! It went down a treat with our team too, I’m happy to say ☺️

We had a great time trying out Feed the Kraken, a hidden role game set on the high seas, where honest sailors try to outwit the pirates and cultists in their midst to sail the ship to safety 🏴‍☠️🐙

We also got to introduce an adorable new player to Magical Athlete, which has already established itself as a team favourite 👌

Wanna feel like this chill little penguin? 🐧🧊 Thanks to our air conditioning, it was nearly 10 degrees cooler inside our doors than out at the peak of yesterday’s heat 🫠

Don’t forget: you don’t need to pay the cover charge before 6pm on weekdays if you’re not playing games, so you can always pop in with a book or a laptop in the afternoon to cool off with an iced coffee or a milkshake 🍦

We’ve got plenty of space up to 6pm today, and just couple of tables free later, so you might want to book if you fancy a chill out session with us this evening 🍺🎲

Big thanks to Char & Rob from plotsandpals for hosting an awesome first Fantasy Book Club at The Treehouse this evening 💖📖

The inaugural book choice was ‘The long way to a small, angry planet’ by Becky Chambers, which I think it’s safe to say that everyone loved!

It was such a lovely group and a really fun discussion 😊
