The weekend is nearly here, which means one thing... Borden Village Fete at The Maypole!🎉

With plenty of stalls to browse, refreshments to enjoy, and a delicious BBQ on offer, plus the weather looking sunny ☀️, why not come along, support the local village, and enjoy a great day out for all the family?

And that's not all... at 4:30pm we'll be welcoming the amazing Special Branch a Rock 'n' Roll and Rhythm & Blues band to keep the atmosphere going and get everyone in the party spirit! 🎸🎶

So please do come down and join us — we're looking forward to seeing lots of you there for what promises to be a fantastic day for the whole community!

I know last night's result wasn't the one we were hoping for, but a huge well done to England for making it this far in the World Cup. ⚽️

We've been incredibly lucky to enjoy such fantastic crowds throughout the tournament, and it's been great to see so many people making use of our new outdoor area as well as our two indoor screens.

A massive thank you to all of our staff who have worked so hard throughout the competition — we've certainly had some busy nights! We really appreciate every one of you and everything you've done to make the atmosphere so special.

And finally, thank you to all of our customers who have joined us to watch the games and support the team with us. Your support means so much, and we've loved sharing the experience with you all.

What a fantastic day we had at The Maypole yesterday! 🍾🥂

Firstly, we had the pleasure of helping a lovely couple celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary surrounded by friends and family. It was such a wonderful afternoon and evening, and we're so grateful to have been part of their special day. ❤️

Then came an incredible atmosphere as a fantastic crowd gathered to watch England play their way into the semi-finals! What a game and what an atmosphere! ⚽🏴

Come on England!! 🏆

We guess we'll be seeing you all again on Wednesday as England take on Argentina in the semi-final! It's going to be another big night at The Maypole, and we can't wait to share it with you all! 🍻⚽

We'd like to say a massive thankyou to some of the members of our local community who have spent the last few days helping clear the car park of the overgrown and clearing our storage space .They have honestly worked so hard and and in this heat too !! We are beyond grateful of this and very blessed to have a local community that support this pub and offer a helping hand. So thankyou from all of us at The Maypole x

With this warm weather, our kitchen can reach extreme temperatures, so to help reduce the heat for our staff we’ll be serving our deli menu only for the time being. ☀️

Why not pop in and grab a freshly made ciabatta, a jacket potato, or one of our delicious salads, along with a nice cold drink to help cool you down? 🥗🥔🥪🥤
