Set in the stunning Broughton estate, you'll find us traditional in style with open fires; flagged stone floors; good old furniture and lots of rugs and plants. Internally, the bar sits at the heart of things with an array of cask ales, shelves full of gins, whiskies and rum to welcome you as you walk through the doors and a wine list of around 50 or so wines. Downstairs, we have another cosy room behind the bar which would comfortably sit up to 20 for a private gathering.

Meet Emily 🍻

Emily has worked at The Bull for over a year and a half, bringing good vibes, plenty of laughter, and a deep love for local craft beer to our team.

When she’s not serving up pints, you’ll find her studying Liberal Arts with Law at the University of Warwick with a special focus on studying abroad!

In her spare time, Emily stays active by training in the gym, running, and walking her two lurchers, Lola and Albie.

As our resident Dark Horse Brewery connoisseur, Emily knows everything there is to know about their award-winning ales. If you’re looking to try a local pint of Hetton, she’s the perfect person to ask after all, it’s her family’s business, and she’s proud to share it with you!

Our July Quiz Winners " The Happy Bunch" where the winners this month but where to shy for the winner's photo !

Our Quiz will be on the Wednesday the 5th of August and we'll be kicking things off around 8:15pm with a mixture of general knowledge and ever changing categories, along with a picture round and maybe even a music round! 🎶

Maximum of 6 people to a team, £2 per person all of which goes to our charity for 2026 The Principle Trust Children's Charity and we'll even put some nibbles on at half time too for extra brain power 🧠

A tasty new pudding is on our menu the “Black Forest Pavlova with Kirsch cherries and chocolate sauce” how delicious!

Lydia can vouch that the pavlova is very tasty because she’s had it three times, and maybe a fourth! 🤣

Our Quiz Night is tomorrow , do you have your quiz brain at the ready ?!

Agatha Quiztie Annie is back from her travels and has prepared a fantastic quiz for you , we still have tables left if you would like to join us.

The quiz starts at around 8:15pm we will be kicking things off with a max team of six players at £2 per person for "Principle Trust - Children's Charity", along with half time nibbles to give you some extra brain power.

Come and bring in the end of summer with a bash to remember on the 29th of August here at The Bull

We will have live music from local legends Ally&Joe Acoustic Duo from 2pm onwards, If you’re feeling thirsty our outside spritz and bottled beer bar will be open plus the inside bar will also be open as usual.

There will also be activities for the children, including face painting and a tombola, with all proceeds going to our chosen local charity "The Princess Trust"

It’s our dog walk this Sunday 🥾🐶

The weatherman is telling us it will be 19 degrees and a chance of rain in the early morning so a cooler walk maybe on the cards , please stay hydrated and cool if you wish to join us ☀️

Please make sure your booked on the guestlist by heading to our website and
clicking the “what’s on” icon you will see a page that says “Monthly Pub Walk” so we can make everyone has bacon butty before the walk 🫶🏻

We will be meeting at The Bull for 9:30 where you can fuel up with a coffee and a bacon sandwich for a lovely walk around Broughton Sanctuary, we aim to be back at the pub for 12 o’clock just in time for a lovely delicious Sunday roast if you fancy it

A new summer dish 🍔

The Crispy buttermilk buffalo chicken burger with smoked streaky bacon, blue cheese, mayonnaise, and fries

Also this burger really packs a punch with buffalo hot sauce and jalapeño relish for a spicy quick to get those taste buds going 🌶️
