As requested by the ladies out there… SMASH HITS is the all new ladies single s*x slowpitch event that will run on the same weekend as Sons of Pitches at Farnham Park. All games will be on the dirt fields and will be played over the weekend of the 25/26 May.

There is a whole weekends line-up of events
- Friday night is home run derby and BBQ night. The bar will be open until 12. 🔥
- Saturday night is the annual beer pong competition and there will be live music. 🎶

This is competitive but fun tournament, so ladies…
get some tunes pumping and line up those Smash Hits!

Home Plate Bar and Kitchen at the National Centre for Baseball and Softball in Farnham Park is recruiting for weekend staff to work on the bar and in the kitchen. Experience is not necessary as all training will be provided, a commitment to work regularly on the weekend is however needed.
It’s a fun environment with repeat customers which are playing sport with us.
Only 17yrs+ to apply please as we are working with alcohol.

Hi guys!! With the season winding down to its close… It’s time that turn up and play starts again!

SATURDAY OCTOBER 23RD AND SUNDAY 24TH 🥎
SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL!

Saturday we will have a morning session and an afternoon session. Starts 10am when will be playing two full seven-innings games with a short break in the middle.
Repeated in the afternoon at 1.30 (two games , 7-innings).

Sunday will be just one session starting slightly later at 11 and playing two full 7 innings games, I’ve popped 1.30 as finish time, but we will play them out and finish when that is.

You are welcome to come to just one session or all. It’s £3 per session (£6 for both sessions on Saturday). Please sign up and pay monies at Home Plate, cash or bank transfer only. CASH PREFERRED.

Very last minute… but the opportunity came up… and we thought… why not?! With the boys all playing at Sons of Pitches… we thought it only fair there should be an opportunity for the ladies too and ‘Daughters of the Dirt’ was born!
We have 2 teams already signed up, 4 checking for numbers, and we haven’t even advertised yet. So looking good ladies!!

Daughters of the dirt is a fun tournament. There are simultaneous beer pong and flip cup competitions. Saturday night BBQ and party at Home Plate. Free camping Fri and Sat. It’s a great weekend!

One final push! EVERYONE WHO ORIGINALLY DONATED TO MARY HAD THEIR DONATION REFUNDED.

Mary is a softball player from Bristol.

This is a massive blow as the monies had already been spent/ allocated setting Mary up, and now Mary finds herself in a difficult financial situation on top of all else. Despite reposting we have not managed to reach everyone that did donate or re raise the original amount of £11054 (a truly staggering amount).

We are currently £2151 short of the original amount, so if you did kindly donate the first time round, the money is back in your bank account, and we would love it if you could put the donation back on.

Mary lived in a remote farm in a static mobile home so the fire tore through it and it took time for help to reach her. Absolutely nothing was left of her life, her home and belongings destroyed. The fire also took the lives of her dog, Chi, her cat, Kitten, and her family of pet chickens.

Monies that have been spent have been used to refurnish her replacement home and reestablish the necessities from what was lost. Mary would also have loved, in time, to get another dog as she's desperately missing hers...😞. That's now not looking possible unless we can find the missing money.

It is appreciated that people’s situation may have changed, however any donation, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated.

This will be the last post, and shouldn’t have been needed. All went wrong after a miscommunication with Just Giving, and they returned all monies raised. We can no longer see who originally donated in order to contact them, so are hoping that people read this that maybe were confused as to why the monies came back…. They were wanted and they are needed.

Mary is also extremely grateful and when more sorted will reach out to everyone that has been kind enough to help her.
