HAF Families,
Following an incredible evening at the recent boxing event, we hope those of you who attended had a fantastic time celebrating Ryan Garner’s brilliant win right here in our hometown. It was a truly inspiring experience for our families and young people.
With that excitement still in the air, we’re pleased to remind you that the HAF programme is now live, and there are still spaces available at three locations across the city to access Battens Boxing sessions.
Whether your child is:
A complete beginner looking to try something new
Interested in fitness and having fun
Or already has experience and wants to develop their skills
These sessions offer a fantastic opportunity in a supportive and engaging environment.
All sessions are completely FREE, and food will be provided.
Even more exciting… Ryan Garner visits will also be taking place at these sites!
Who knows — could your child be the next Ryan Garner?
Alongside boxing, we still have a wide range of activities available across the city, including:
Creative craft sessions at The Crafty Bug Café
Arts and cultural activities with Southampton City Council Cultural Services
Holiday clubs with Testlands, Superstar Sports, ActiveMe360 and Active4All
And many more exciting opportunities
To secure your place, please visit:

We encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.
The DfE has provided funding to local authorities to coordinate a programme that is designed to provide healthy food and enriching activities during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays to children who receive benefits-related free school meals.
