Linger a little longer… ❤️

One of our favourite moments isn’t actually when the plates arrive… it’s what happens afterwards.

It’s when the “oohs” and “aahs” over the food have faded into great conversations. When everyone settles in, completely relaxed, sharing stories, laughing until their cheeks hurt, and simply enjoying being together.

No one has had to spend hours in the kitchen. No one has missed the punchline because they were fetching drinks or serving the next course. We’ve taken care of all of that… even the washing up! So everyone around your table gets to be part of every moment.

As we carry on around the pub, we love watching those tables that just don’t want the evening to end. We’re proud to have created an environment where people feel comfortable enough to simply slow down, relax, and enjoy each other’s company.

That’s one of the joys of being a small independent pub. We don’t rush you. We don’t believe in turning tables for the sake of numbers. We’d much rather see another bottle shared, another story told, and another round of laughter echo across the room.

🐾 Jarvis – The Grey Hound’s biggest live music fan! 🎶

Anyone who comes to our live music events will have witnessed the legend that is Jarvis the pub dog on the dance floor, having the time of his life.

Now he’s 12 years old, has arthritis in his back legs and is virtually deaf, things have changed a little. These days you’ll often find him lying right up against the speakers so he can feel the bass and the vibrations. He might not hear every note anymore, but he certainly still feels the music… and the vibes. ❤️

And somehow, despite barely hearing a thing, he can still lip-read the word “biscuit.” 🍪😂 Funny how that works!

We’re so lucky to have our wonderful old boy still enjoying every gig with us. He’s been part of our pub family for so many years, and we know so many of you love seeing him as much as we do.
